Congratulations to the UH Geauga Medical Center ED team for setting a new IV TPA record!

Thanks to Dr. Tina Piscitelli-Shaffer’s crew, the patient was able to walk out of the hospital, with no deficits, just 3 short days after suffering a massive stroke with left sided paralysis.

Dr. Piscitelli-Shaffer, Medical Director, says, “Thanks to our amazing nurses we were able to capture the record time for TPA administration, which resulted in a phenomenal outcome for a patient who has regained full function of her left side.”
