IMM Welcomes Emergency Medicine Program at Hillsdale Community Health Center

(Hillsdale, Mich.) July 28, 2016 – As of October 2016, Island Medical Management (IMM) will provide physician management and staffing services to the emergency department of Hillsdale Hospital, a community health center located in Hillsdale, Michigan.

Hillsdale Hospital is a small but progressive rural healthcare facility serving not only the community of Hillsdale, but patients from the bordering states of Ohio and Indiana. As a leader in health services, the facility encompasses the healthcare needs of their patient community utilizing state-of-the-art technology. As their motto states, Hillsdale Hospital is, “Large enough to be of service… small enough to care.”

The recently renovated emergency department provides care to approximately 25,000 patients per year, and hosts 47 acute care patient beds, 39 skilled nursing facility beds, and the 10-bed Dempster W. Muffitt Center for Psychiatric Care. The technologically advanced center utilizes a 64-slice CT scanner and MRI, state of the art lab equipment, and the most modern critical care and emergency department machines.
